Pressure Leaf filters are specially designed for separation filtration with a large filtration area. Leaf filters are used when the solids content in the liquid is up to 7% and at the required filtration rate up to 800 m3/h.
Pressure Leaf filters are manufactured in horizontal or vertical design and, depending on customer requirements, filters can be designed for dry discharge of sludge (cake) or with the so-called wet discharge of sludge (cake).
Vertical pressure leaf filter
This economical pressure leaf filter is equipped with vertical, rectangular filter leaves. The filter leaves are mounted vertically and connected to a filtrate manifold at the bottom of the filter tank. For dry cake discharge, a vibrator is used to remove the cake from the filter leaves when the filtration process is complete.
Horizontal pressure leaf filter
Horizontal pressure leaf filters contain filter leaves positioned vertically in a horizontal filter tank. These filters can have a large filtration area and enable visual cake inspection after every cake discharge. An optional vibrator installation can be installed for cake discharge.
The filter housing can be made of steel, stainless steel or copper-nickel alloys. A special version is available with internal surfaces coated with rubber, synthetic resins, stoving varnishes or other corrosion-resistant materials. Filters can also be made with jackets for heating or cooling, with thermal insulation of the outer surface.
The design of the filter elements for horizontal and vertical filters is similar. The filter plates are made of stainless steel and consist of five mesh layers, the outer layers vary depending on the application. The filter plates are mounted on a manifold that allows you to quickly and easily remove them individually or all together.
Plate pressure filters can be used both for direct filtration and for filtration using filter aids.
Benefits of Pressure Leaf filters
The Pressure Leaf filters is a closed filter system that can be fully automated. The filter allows a very clean filtrate to be obtained after circulation and is also suitable for any filtration with aids. The regeneration time between filtration cycles is negligible. Vertical filters take up minimal space in the room and are equipped as standard with a lid lifter. Pressure Leaf filters are designed to reduce maintenance to a minimum. These advantages ensure the high economic efficiency of our filters.
